Hello—yes, come in. I was just about to press play on something I’ve definitely already seen before.

If you’re here, I’m going to assume you also enjoy a good mystery, a slightly suspicious character, and the quiet thrill of thinking, “I’ve solved it”… only to be completely wrong 20 minutes later. (Just me?)

I’m Irene. I live in a very quiet bit of the British countryside, which feels wildly inappropriate given how many fictional crimes I witness on a weekly basis. Most evenings, you’ll find me with a cup of tea in hand, halfway through an episode of Criminal Minds or Midsomer Murders, pausing far too often to question someone’s alibi like I’ve been personally assigned to the case.

I watch a lot of crime dramas. I read a lot of thrillers. I take far too many notes for someone who is not, in fact, a detective.

This is where I put all of that—thoughts, theories, overreactions, and the occasional moment of “wait… did anyone else notice that?” Expect plot dissections, character deep-dives, and me confidently backing the wrong suspect at least once per series.

Outside of that, there will also be:
– tea (a given)
– late-night “just one more episode” decisions (never just one)
– the occasional spiral into reality TV (purely observational, obviously)
– and, more often than not, a bit of Britney Spears playing in the background while I overthink everything

If you’ve got recommendations, I’m always listening. If you’ve got theories, even better.

Just don’t tell me the ending. I’d like the chance to get it wrong on my own.
