I watch a lot of crime dramas. Possibly an unreasonable amount. But in my defence—how are you not meant to have opinions when someone says “it’s always the person you least suspect”? (Because it usually is, isn’t it?)

I live in a quiet Lincolnshire village, which feels wildly at odds with the number of fictional murders I consume on a weekly basis. Most evenings you’ll find me with a cup of tea, halfway through an episode, pausing every ten minutes to go, “Right—but what if they’re lying?”

I’m endlessly fascinated by storytelling—the little details, the character choices, the moments that make you gasp or rewind just to check you heard it properly. I like picking things apart (kindly), spotting patterns, and occasionally convincing myself I’ve solved the whole thing… only to be completely wrong.

I write about what I’m watching and reading, usually in the same way I’d talk about it with a friend—slightly too invested, asking far too many questions, and always ready with a theory.

Also, if you’ve got a recommendation, I’m listening. Just don’t spoil the ending—I like to get it wrong all by myself.
